About our Fundraising:
TOTES TO MARKET MARCH 2021

One of Uma Market's main goals is to maintain the service and support of the farmers we have been helping. We plan to continue aiding them in increasing their sales, by providing them with marketing and services that middlemen would usually provide. This fundraiser will continue to fund the current farmers we support, as well as projects for the future. We hope that you are able to contribute and donate to this cause through buying some tote bags made by local artists. Each tote bag is of high quality and unique design, that will go towards a great cause!

About our Fundraising:
ART SALE August 2021

As you may or may not know, the livelihood of farmers has always been dependent on the middlemen of business, in order for their products to be marketed to consumers. Due to this, a large amount of the money made from these farmer’s products goes to these middlemen. Now more than ever, these farmers need the full profit of their earnings. Uma Markets put together a collection of artwork donated by talented artists, in order to raise money for Lolita Pugado and Sony Mitchao! We have earned a total of 107k!

Celine Lagdameo

Hello! My name is Celine Lagdameo and I founded Uma Markets! I am currently an incoming junior at International School Manila, and one of my passions has always been art. I've always adored art, especially dance, painting, and graphic design. I have been practicing dance for 14 years and I discovered my love for graphic design at ISM. This was one of my driving factors for creating this project. I hope that everyone enjoys all the amazing artwork from all of the talented artists at this fundraiser. Every single purchase would be of great support!

Bellee Huang

My name is Bellee, and I'd like to think I have been an artist since birth. I started dancing classical ballet at two and a half years old, and since then, I've danced ballet, jazz, and modern for almost fourteen years. My passion for dancing sparked my interest in other forms of art as well, and I began to explore digital art through classes in school. Since then, I've enjoyed blending the world of dance with art, and wish to pursue a college degree in the arts as well.

Anda Lagdameo

Hello! My name is Anda and I am an incoming junior at International School Manila. Art has always been something I’ve loved, especially music and drawing. My time at ISM has allowed me to explore several different art forms, including sculpting and lino printing, but my favorite medium would have to be charcoal. I’ve always been a firm believer in using one’s passion to help others, so I hope you could support Uma Markets’ initiative by purchasing artwork from me and my fellow artists. Thank you so much! :)

Danni Lagdameo

Hi my name is Danni!! I’m 16 and I was exposed to art and the creative world in general. My mom would put me on a big blank piece of paper with a bit of paint when I was a baby, and she would let me just explore doing whatever I wanted on it. Over the years, my love for art and curiosity has definitely grown. I am most comfortable with sketching as well as acrylics most but I would love to expand my knowledge regarding other types of mediums and art styles to help me improve :))

Hi my name is Alex Licauco and I have been doing art for as long as I can remember. At the beginning of my art journey I started out with acrylic painting and pencil drawings. Later on in my journey I pushed myself to explore new art mediums such as oil pastels, soft pastels, digital illustration, printmaking and sculptures. I love all these different mediums however my current favorite are digital works created through; photoshop, illustrator and fresco as well as sculptures which are mostly made of cardboard, clay and copper wire.

My name is Amanda, and I am a contemporary artist living and working in the Philippines. Studied Illustration at Parsons School of Design in New York City with a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Arts at College of Saint Benilde in Manila, Philippines. After working as a Jr. Art Director in 2014 for a fashion magazine in the media industry, I was able to venture out in the art industry of Manila. For 6 years, I was able to pursue my love for painting by joining group art shows, group projects that lead her to become one of the published illustrators of Philippine Herbs, creating murals at restaurants in the city to beach resorts and private homes. I am now a full time professional painter where she paints and collaborates with clients who have the same passion and love for art.

Hi! My name is Nika Basas. I often work with a variety of art mediums, but these pieces were made digitally through Procreate and Adobe Illustrator.  For me, art has always been a means of exhibiting certain narratives and emotions. Jeremiah Tallent

I have an approach to oil painting that can be described as expressive-realism. As a representational artist, I take an undertaking to painting with both classical and contemporary ideas and applications.  My works carry a fresh and vibrant statement of colors, textures, light and atmosphere; while maintaining a realistic representation with an expressive application of paint.  I have received my MFA in fine art from the Academy of Art University and is currently based in Makati.  I am best recognized for his portraits, along with his still life paintings of Filipino fruits and textiles.
